This digitally recreated poster uses a scan of the 1949 Founder's Day photograph. Ms Veda Thakurdas (centre) was the Founder Principal. Shakespeare's Tempest was performed on an open stage during the celebrations. Behind the women on stage, bamboo lattice stands with flowers strung on them were especially made for the occasion.
This photograph of the Annual Convocation was taken in 1951. Ms Veda Thakurdas was the Founder Principal. The Photograph was found intact so the frame and glass are original. Ms Thakurdas is seated in the first row, in the centre. Miss Murphy was the Nurse (in uniform) during these initial years.
This photograph of the Annual Convocation was taken in 1953. By 1950-1951, Students Union constitution had been drafted by Ms Indu Chatterjee (MA Philosophy 1950-1952) and adopted by the Students Union.

This photograph of the Principal and the Academic Staff was taken in the year 1988. This year a special archival volume of the College Magazine was published to mark 40 years of the establishment of Miranda House.
This photograph of the Academic Staff was taken in year 1998. This year the College celebrated the Golden Jubilee of its Founders Day. By this year, there were 22 women's colleges in the University of Delhi.
